  • Data We Collect Automatically: This covers all data that we collect from you when you interact with us at our physical location/locations or our services without you doing anything.  The data includes CCTV images for the prevention of crime and staff safety and is stored on site and is encrypted.   • Information Collected Though Other Services or Given Voluntarily: You may give us permission to collect your information though services we offer for example when you are booking in a job for repair, registering a repair call, placing an order online, by phone or in person or applying for credit for setting up a lease or securing your data.  This information is kept for us to help run the business and serve customers requests data collected is kept on site on an encrypted database and offsite with third-party hosts.  All the third parties we use are GDPR complaint and all have privacy polices to reflect this all are available on request by emailing gdpr@danies.co.uk.

However, you can disable cookies by changing your browser settings.   • Marketing:  We do employ a number of marketing activities this includes emailing potential customers and or phoning.  This is done by you subscribing to a mailing list or from obtaining the information from a public source for example the Telephone Preference Service list which gives us the ability to contact you with potential offers or business.  This list is held at a third party’s who are GDPR complaint their privacy policies are available on request.  If you do not wish to receive these emails any more after selecting the opt-in option, you can unsubscribe at any point by clicking the link on the bottom of the email or mentioning it on the phone or in person.

Where the Information Is Processed and Used

The company and the third party’s we use are all located in the United Kingdom.  Wherever your location in the world you consent to your information being processed and transferred to the United Kingdom.  Your information is only stored in the UK and is governed by UK and EU law.  Which may differ and not be as protective as the country you live.

Our Use of Your Information

This privacy polices only applies to our services and our website.  Links to other websites not controlled by us will have their only policy’s in place and anything explained here does not apply to them.  However, all sites that we link to will be checked that they are GDPR complaint and no such link will be provided if we are unsure on this.  If you require more information on external sites then we suggest contacting those sites.

Data Retention

We retain personal data if it is still relevant to any of the services we carry out or for in the case of product recalls, data may be copied and stored for addition time in the case of business backups.  After said data is no longer required we will take all reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or make sure the data is securely removed.

How Do I Correct, Update, Amend, or Delete the Personal Data You Have About Me? (Fig 1.0)

If you would like to do any of the above (Fig 1.0) you can contact us at gdpr@dansies.co.uk and make a request.  In the request you must say who it is pertaining to and what right you are excising.  We will take steps once this request has been received to verify the identity before responding or processing the request.  Data collected to fulfil a contract will not be deleted until it is no longer required under statutory legislation.

How do I Object or Restrict the Manner in Which We Process Your Personal Data?
